Statement from the Alliance for a Healthy Kansas on Medicaid expansion amendment vote

Statement from April Holman, executive director of the Alliance for a Healthy Kansas, on the Medicaid expansion amendment debated today in the Kansas House:

“The dialogue on Medicaid expansion during the House budget debate this afternoon highlighted the great need for expansion and the benefits it would bring to the physical and financial health of Kansans. Moreover, the new federal incentive would bring hundreds of millions of unrestricted federal dollars to the state that could support a wide range of state funding priorities.”
